Murilo Monticeli

Murilo Monticeli is an architect graduated in 2001 from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism Mackenzie, São Paulo. He won the National Prize of the Annex to the Gold Museum in Sabara, Minas Gerais’ State, Brazil; He attended the general exhibition of architects twice biennial São Paulo Architectural Meeting (BIENAL, Brazil), in 2005 and 2007 . In addition, he took part in a project working on ITAE (NGO- Institute of Art & Education founded in 1987), in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, BrazilJ. He is the on who developed Caborê’s Brewery, based in Paraty as well in where he is CEO of the company.

New roads ahead for Architecture in Paraty, Brazil

Few weeks ago was announced the winner on competition for the designing/ drawing of Paraty’s Cultural Theather for meetings and summits to be held. Paraty is a quite small city by the sea on the south coast of Rio de Janeiro’s State, in Brazil. Its also a Brazilian Heritage. The competition was supported by the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, which had been ruled by Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB) branch of Rio de Janeiro, so that at the beginning of 2014 it has been launched a national competition for architectural designs on Cultural and Leisure Centers on the seaside: in Cabo Frio, Nova Friburgo and Paraty. Standing up for a modern conception for buildings organized not only consider the concretes itself, Dal Pian Arquitetos Associados from São Paulo was stated the winner on drawing modern contemporary design, an audacious traits for the colonial sixty century (old) city, Paraty.
